At The Hydrofoil Store, we want to give you the opportunity to trade in your Max assist unit for the NEW MAX PLUS with a completely hassle free selling programme. No waiting for time wasters to get back to you on Facebook Marketplace!

Our MAX+ Trade-In Programme is available to customers purchasing a new Foil Drive MAX+ system from Hydrofoil Store. It provides existing Hydrofoil Store customers with the opportunity to trade in eligible Foil Drive equipment and receive a trade-in credit towards the purchase of a new MAX+ system.

Simply tell us what you have, select the condition of your equipment, upload the requested photographs, and our trade-in calculator will provide an indicative trade-in value.

Important: The calculator provides an estimated trade-in value only based on the information you submit. It is not a guaranteed valuation, offer or contract. All trade-ins are subject to inspection, testing and final approval by Hydrofoil Store.

What Is Eligible For Trade-In?

The following items are currently accepted:

• Foil Drive Assist MAX Base Unit (including zip case)
• Foil Drive Controller v2 or v3
• Foil Drive Batteries (Power & High Power)
• Battery Chargers
• UK Customers Only

What Is Not Eligible?

The following items are not currently included in the Trade-In Programme:

• Stators
• Rotors
• Propellers
• Motor Cables
• Motor Pods
• Motors
• Other accessories or additional foil drive equipment
• Customers Outside of the UK

How The Trade-In Programme Works

1. Check Your Equipment

Before submitting your trade-in, please ensure your equipment meets the programme requirements.

Batteries must:

• Read between 45.8V and 46.2V after a full charge and a short resting period at room temperature.
• Charge to 100%.
• Have visible copper on the battery terminals.
• Have no corrosion on the terminals.
• Match the cosmetic condition selected.

Batteries that do not meet these requirements cannot be accepted.

2. Complete The Trade-In Form

Complete our online Trade-In Calculator by selecting your equipment and its condition.

Please also upload clear photographs of:

• Front of the item
• Rear of the item
• Serial number
• Battery terminals (where applicable)
• Voltage reading (for batteries)

The calculator will then generate an indicative trade-in value.

Indicative valuations are normally valid for 14 days from submission unless otherwise agreed.

3. Send Us Your Equipment

Once your trade-in has been provisionally accepted, we will provide instructions for shipping your equipment.

Customers remain responsible for the equipment until it has been safely received by Hydrofoil Store.

We strongly recommend using an insured, tracked courier service and suitable protective packaging.

Customers are responsible for ensuring lithium batteries are transported in accordance with the courier's current dangerous goods requirements.

4. Inspection & Final Valuation

All equipment is inspected and tested on arrival.

If the equipment matches the description submitted through the Trade-In Calculator, the indicative valuation will normally be confirmed.

If the equipment:

• differs from the declared condition,
• fails functional testing,
• has corrosion or excessive damage,
• has evidence of water ingress,
• has been modified or repaired,
• or does not meet programme requirements,

the trade-in value may be reduced or the equipment may be rejected.

Hydrofoil Store reserves the right to determine the final valuation following inspection.

5. Purchase Your New MAX+

Once your trade-in has been approved, your trade-in credit will be applied towards the purchase of your new Foil Drive MAX+.

A credit note will be issued against your purchase.

Trade-in credit:

• has no cash alternative
• cannot normally be combined with other promotional offers unless otherwise stated
• is only redeemable against the purchase of a new Foil Drive MAX+ system.

Ownership of accepted trade-in equipment transfers to Hydrofoil Store once the customer accepts the final valuation and the trade-in credit has been applied.

Battery Requirements

Battery condition is critical.

Before submitting your trade-in, please ensure your battery:

✓ Charges fully to 100%

✓ Has visible copper terminals

✓ Has no corrosion

✓ Matches the cosmetic condition selected

Failure to meet these requirements may result in the battery being rejected.

If Your Equipment Is Rejected

If your trade-in cannot be accepted, you may choose to:

• Have the equipment returned to you (return shipping costs apply)
• Arrange your own courier collection
• Authorise Hydrofoil Store to recycle or dispose of the equipment responsibly

Additional Terms

Hydrofoil Store reserves the right to reject any equipment where:

• Serial numbers have been removed or altered.
• The equipment is suspected to be stolen.
• The equipment has been modified or repaired without manufacturer approval.
• The equipment does not meet programme requirements.

Trade-in values shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Hydrofoil Store reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the MAX+ Trade-In Programme at any time without prior notice. Approved trade-ins already in progress will not be affected.
