Code Foils Complete 1130 S series / 75cm Mast / 158 AR Tail Wing
1130 S FRONT WING:
The Code Foils 1130S High Modulus is the biggest "performance all-rounder" in the S-Series before you move into the truly large beginner/light-wind wings like the 1300S and 1540S.
How it Rides
Takeoff
The 1130S gets up incredibly easily.
Compared with the 980S:
- Earlier lift.
- Lower stall speed.
- Less pumping effort.
- Better in marginal conditions.
For heavier riders, it often feels like what the 980S feels like to a lighter rider.
Glide
This is where the wing shines.
The 1130S:
- Carries speed through lulls.
- Links bumps effortlessly.
- Maintains flight at very low speeds.
- Makes long pump backs much easier.
It has the same efficient S-Series DNA as the 850S and 980S, just with a larger operating window.
Turning
The trade-off for all that lift is turning response.
Compared with:
- 850S → noticeably less playful.
- 980S → slightly more drawn-out turns.
- 720S → completely different category.
The 1130S likes smooth carving lines rather than aggressive rail-to-rail surfing.
Speed
It's surprisingly quick for its size, but speed isn't the reason you buy it.
You'll notice:
- Excellent cruising speed.
- Strong acceleration from low speed.
- More drag at the top end than an 850S or 980S.
Many riders find it feels smaller than its 1130 cm² area suggests because of the high aspect ratio and stiff High Modulus construction.
Who Loves the 1130S?
Wing Foiling
- Heavier riders (90 kg+).
- Light-wind locations.
- Riders who prioritize easy starts and staying on foil.
Prone Foiling
- Small weak waves.
- Bigger riders.
- Long pump connections.
Downwind
- Excellent entry-level downwind wing.
- Stable and confidence inspiring.
Boat Foiling
- Popular with larger riders who found the 980S a little small. One 200 lb rider reported moving to the 1130S because the 980 wasn't enough lift for their boat-foil setup.
TAIL WING 158 AR:
The Code Foils 158AR Tail Wing is arguably the "middle-of-the-range sweet spot" in the AR stabilizer lineup. It adds a noticeable amount of stability and glide compared with the 142AR and 150AR, without becoming as locked-in as the larger 175AR or 188AR tails
FUSELAGE MEDIUM: Standard fuse length, the code riders go to for down wind.
In addition to the medium, Code Foils have the ‘small’ and the ‘large’ fuse. These are 30mm shorter and longer than the medium respectively.
The small offers a higher cadence pump and even further manoeuvrability to the range, whereas the large fuselage offers greater pitch stability and is great for learning. A lot of downwind foilers love the large fuse as it offers further stability with a slower cadence pump. They offer the same unique joining system and tail mounting surface as our medium fuse.
75cm Mast: Ideal for shallow water, prone surf, downwind, and learning environments. A forgiving and versatile option with excellent control.
