Description

Code Foils R Series Complete Foil

Exceptional glide. Effortless efficiency. Built for downwind performance.

The Code Foils R Series Complete Foil is designed for riders who want exceptional glide, efficient pumping and impressive performance across a wide range of downwind conditions. Developed with a focus on speed, stability and low-end efficiency, the R Series excels at linking ocean bumps, making the most of minimal swell energy and covering distance with less effort.

Build your own custom setup by selecting your preferred Code Foils mast, front wing, fuselage and rear tail wing to create a foil configuration tailored to your riding style and conditions.

Whether you're progressing into downwind foiling, exploring open-ocean swells or looking for a fast, efficient foil for SUP surfing, the R Series offers a range of options to suit different experience levels and ambitions.

Designed for downwind excellence

The R Series High Modulus front wings are purpose-built for downwind SUP foiling, combining a long, stable design with exceptional glide and efficient pumping. Their ability to maintain speed and carry momentum makes them ideal for linking bumps and maximising every available pocket of ocean energy.

The performance of the range has been proven at the highest level. In 2023, World Champion James Casey used the 860R High Modulus to win the Molokai 2 Oahu Downwind World Championship and the 770R High Modulus to win Paddle Imua, demonstrating the versatility of the R Series across both endurance and shorter, sprint-style racing.

Constructed from high modulus carbon, these wings deliver an impressive balance of low weight and stiffness, helping maintain efficiency and control across their span.

Find your R Series front wing

The R Series includes sizes for different conditions and riding styles, from the speed-focused 600R through to the larger 960R and 1075R.

  • 600R: The smallest wing in the range, designed for advanced riders seeking speed, stiffness and performance in demanding downwind conditions and racing.
  • 770R High Modulus: A fast, efficient option for riders looking for strong glide and performance in shorter downwind runs and competitive conditions.
  • 860R High Modulus: A proven all-round downwind performer with outstanding glide and pumping efficiency. Also an excellent choice for SUP surfing.
  • 960R: A larger wing offering enhanced low-end performance and the ability to make the most of lighter winds and smaller bumps.
  • 1075R: The largest option in the range, designed to maximise glide and efficiency in minimal-energy conditions, while offering a more accessible platform for riders developing their downwind skills.

The larger 960R and 1075R are particularly useful when conditions are marginal, helping riders get up on foil more easily and link bumps that smaller wings may struggle to connect.

Please check the available front-wing options when configuring your complete foil.

More than just a downwind foil

Although designed with downwind performance at its core, the R Series can also deliver plenty of enjoyment in the surf. Its speed and glide make it well suited to point breaks and softer, rolling waves, where maintaining momentum and connecting different sections are key.

The wings can bank into turns while carrying speed, allowing you to glide across to new faces, run out onto flatter sections or drop off the back of a wave to manage speed before returning to the face.

The R Series is less manoeuvrable than more surf-focused, tight-turning foils, so it is not the first choice for riding deep in the pocket of steep, breaking waves. For riders who enjoy long, flowing lines and linking sections, however, it offers a rewarding alternative. The 860R is a particularly good option for SUP surfing.

Why choose Code Foils R Series?

  • Exceptional glide: Maintain momentum and travel further between bumps.
  • Efficient pumping: Designed to conserve energy and make linking bumps easier.
  • Wide speed range: Balances accessible low-end performance with impressive speed potential.
  • High modulus carbon construction: Lightweight, stiff construction for efficient performance.
  • A size for your conditions: Choose from the speed-focused 600R to the larger 960R and 1075R.
  • Customisable complete setup: Select your preferred mast, front wing, fuselage and rear tail wing.

Build your complete foil

Create a setup that suits your experience, preferred discipline and local conditions by choosing your Code Foils components. From a performance-focused downwind configuration to a versatile setup for downwind and SUP surfing, the R Series gives you the flexibility to build around your needs.

Important: R Series front wings are not designed for jumping. Jumping an R Series front wing will void the warranty.

Included with Code Foils components: Covers and M6 hardware are supplied with the relevant front wing, rear tail wing, fuselage and mast.

Choose your components above to configure your Code Foils R Series Complete Foil.
